ok i have been trying for 4 days now. i made my key extractor to the letter. i followed the schematics perfectly made sure i had good connections and tested it with hyper terminal. it works. but every time i try to get the key off of my lite-on it always says "Warning...Serial Data is Bad"..i have read all the tutorials there is on the net and went through countless forums looking for a solution that i figured would be something tiny and stupid that i over looked. but i have gone over and over it for 4 days and im doing everything that is says. there are only a couple things i can think of..I am using my onboard sata, i have an nForce chipset..it recognizes the drive in JF, and my computer recognizes my key extractor. i have manually installed the PortIO32 drivers. the only things i can think of is maybe my SATA..is it normal for my computer to recognize it and still not communicate with it? or can this occur if you dont properly do the half closed trick. i power it from the xbox and eject, pull power cord, put it back in, power on the xbox and hold it steady so it cant go anywhere until the light flashes constantly..is this wrong.. am i supposed to make it stay half way in without it trying to go back in or come out while powering with the xbox..if so how do i do that. im sorry this is so long..im just getting so frustrated and i have never had any problems modding or hacking anything really before. i set my mind to something and i just have to do it lol. so please someone help me.
