Ive been looking around for some type of capture card *like USB connection that plugs into a a PC* that can work with an Xbox 360 using a HDMI cable instead of the A/V Cables.
As some of you may know you cant have both plugged into the Xbox 360. I know of a USB capture card called Easycap but that doesn't support HDMI ive recently heard of this Pinnacle Dazzle and watched a video as i typed in my question into google yet he just uses the A/V Cables so im not 100% sure if it could work with a HDMI cable as someone in the comments suggested this and i thought it made some scene
Comment:
you would put the HDMI cable into your tv and PS3, then you would run the A/V cable to the dazzle, since you are using an HDMI cable you wont need to buy splitters or adapters, just plug the 3 RCA cables right into the dazzle
Thats for PS3 i know but i was hoping/guessing they'd roughly work the same way or could be possible?
or would i have to get like a PCI capture card for this to happen?
after reading a few more comments on the video apparently Dazzle doesnt support HDMI so im guessing an internal capture card is the only way? if someone knows then please could you help me out a little im pretty noobish at some of this and was just wanting to hopefully record some Xbox 360 footage with HDMI as it looks very good
Wouldn't it be possible to plug it into a recordable DVD player and just record onto a DVD-RW then rip it onto your comp? There must be DVD recorders out there with HDMI Input, surely...? o.0

that's probably a solution, but for any real capturing, and video manipulation it isn't a very viable solution imo
You can have both plugged in at once, you just need to pop off the casing around the av cord at the base. It doesnt affect anything and you wont see the "ghettoness"...
Thanks for everyone for the reply's not sure i wanna pop some of the back off my Xbox 360 as i have some fans that slot into the holes to keep it cool thanks for the suggestion though

it's the cord, not the 360. it's actually very easy to do and I did it to get HDMI and sound at the same time.
well i get sound anyway somehow..but i think it has a auto volume setting on as the tv can be really loud and..its not too loud as id like it to be how did you do this? any page that can show me where?
