Some guy emailed me and told me that you can unban right now by having the stock firmware before dashboard update. here is the email he sent me...
There is no eta for the Linux hack, but since the big ban wave the assumption will be sooner than later. How to un-ban a console, you have to have stock firmware before the update, I flashed my own so I save all firmware. Then erase all updates from console. Next when you load stock fw you change the NAND and the k bank to match key code. It is very technical but is possible. This tricks their ban an says it's been checked, since fw is unmoddified it shows ok and un-bans. But, you have to have stock fw before update. However, the person that developed fw is working on ixtremeLT supposedly un-bannable fw, he has 3 test boxes still not banned after this wave. Watch out on your HD since the ban it has crippled your HD making it corrupted on un-banned consoles.

Sounds to me like bits of facts twisted in a whole lot of gibberish. In other words, a "non-tech" person trying to be "tech".
Reversing a ban is not possible. Uncrippling a hard drive is. This guy is confused, a scammer, or both.
$38 on new discs -- Check
$15 on burn after burn that showed as a DVD -- Check
$11 on new laser -- Check
$28 on new multimeter -- Check

of course it's possible, and has been done, but is very complicated and requires an unbanned 360, however in theory the log should still contain the report on your 360 and will once again notify m$, so imo you'd be banned again in no time by attempting this, so it's just easier to use that unbanned 360 you used to unban your 360=-)

I really don't consider putting the console ID of another motherboard into a different 360 an unban fix any more than doing a gut swap is an unban fix. The ban is still in place.... you just got a new system... whether it be with a physical or virtual gut swap.

Unless you did it with a unrepairable RROD system.
