Your burner's firmware is outdated. Update to the latest.

Use Verbatim discs, not these crappy Riteks.

This happens because your drive doesn't support burning those discs at 2.4X. It only supports 4X as you can see here: -

Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66) (Speeds: 4x)

That's not the cause of your problem though. I'm just saying, selecting 2.4X for every single type of dual layer media is pointless if it's not a supported speed and forcing slower burns on higher speed media can actually lead to worse quality burns. Don't assume that 2.4X is always the best, even if some n00b tells you otherwise!

This error is almost always the result of a problem with the burner itself.

This error: "Spindle Servo Failure" leads me to believe that this is the case in this situation as well, and it is in fact a hardware error.

Do as funksoulb advises. If that still doesn't work, chances are that you have a dead burner.

Ditto as what the above said. I use Windows 7 and have no issues. Added that bit just in case your still thinking it could be Windows 7.
