I am burning with DVD+R DL Singpore Verbatims, with verified ISO and dvd files, on my HP laptop's HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N ATA Device. When i put the completed disk in my laptop, and verified the disk with abgx 360. Abgx verified that the disk will work, but when i put the game in my xbox, it won't read. Please help!!! i have wasted 5 verbatim disks on this.

Yes, it was flashed a week ago. I have some disks that were burned on a friend's computer, and they work.

Try burning your games using clonecd, I personally never got a game to work burning with img burn. Using clonecd I never recieved any errors burning at X4, all you have to do is open the .dvd file and set your speed and burn. You dont have to worry about the layer break or anything.
Note: When it reach 50% it pauses for a bit dont worry it didnt freeze just give it some time and it will continue)

I suspected that it was something like that because the name of the DVD burner that's in my computer is TSST corp (I know I never heard of it either) so maybe that's why it never worked for me. Good find scorpNZ.

If I had to bet i would bet you are using a high speed verbatim media, 6-8x or higher you need the 2.4x verbatim and write at 2.4x if you were using them you wouldn't be getting write speed miscompare. That's what you would get if you tried to burn a crappy media like memorex and you had your write speed set to 1x needs to be at 2.4 and you need these discs for best results

also your booktype is unknown you didn't select your booktype at the bottom right hand side you need the writer set up for dl+R media and change booktype to dvd rom ,

Although you bring up a good point in that wrong write speed was selected it's not the reason for the issue at hand

What error is it giving you when you try to boot the disc in your 360?
Is it reporting as a DVD? If this is the case, you need to use the activate disc to make it work.
If that is the case, a better solution might be to just update your 360's firmware to Lite-Touch.
Another possibility is that it is your burner itself. Laptop burners are generally shite for burning 360 games.
$38 on new discs -- Check
$15 on burn after burn that showed as a DVD -- Check
$11 on new laser -- Check
$28 on new multimeter -- Check

no but it points out that he's using high speed media and not the 2.4x media / I haven't burn't a single coaster using those.. Some high speed media requires you to burn at a higher speed to read the media memorex for example i can only burn sucessfully if I write at 8x with those. I blame it on crappy media..non-booktype setting the 360 reads as dvdrom as we all know

when i put the disk in the xbox, it wasy 'Open tray", so it isn't reading the disk at all. and for some reason, even when i run as administrator mode, I can't set the booktype. But i read somewhere that for the new firmware, the booktype setting shouldnt matter?

you don't have to run imgburn. as an administrator to burn, and you can still change the booktype, i know for a fact your 360 reads dvdrom format. If you simply open the program, set the layerbreak, change the booktype load your file on a 2.4xspeed verbatim, have the latest firmware update on your dvd burner from the manufacuter's website.. it should burn with a breeze.(also you never answered what speed media you had) please be specific.
If you have teamviewer I have teamviewer and will run it for you and show you how to do it email me at zach@richardsonriley.com

they are Verbatim 2.4x speeds from singapore, and on this burn, i accidentally set the speed to 1x, but imgburn recognized that was an incompatible speed for the disk and it burned at 2.4x. I have got many suggestions to try it at 4x but I want to get a cleaning disk first.
gixxer- i have teamviewer, but should I get a cleaning disk and run that forst?

Are you able to burn other dvd's if so i would say no on the cleaner.... also forgot... have you ran the iso through abgx 1.0.2 to make sure it's a valid rip.(have you tried other iso's or just this 1

Well considering your drive is an LG i would think that's why you can't set the book type, your setting the booktype for your burner not the xbox..lol try doing it on the LG Tab
