Problem getting seccondary code for RROD

Hi

Don't seem to be able to manually eject Benw drive to get the 4 digits for secondary error code. Is there a workaround for this?

You don't need to eject the drive. Just press and hold the sync button then press the eject button four time to see the flashing lights and get your code.

Hi

What I meant was that I don't see anything remotely like an eject button with the Benq. Can you advise me please.

The benQ has nothing to do with RROD. Why did you open another thread on the same issue?

Ahumm... I need to press sync and "eject button" at the same time to get the secondary code and I couldn't find the latter with the Benq in the case.

The drive is in the case
The Benq drive I have can only be opened via the controller and does not have an external eject button as far as one can tell

Hi

Update. Code is 1020 and have now tried every combination of torque for the the X Clamp replacement screws but still have the RROD. From your experience what is the ideal tightness for these screws? Also in removing drive, fan etc I accidentally dislodged a little metal clip from the MB. I don't think it has anything to do with my problem but I want to share with you so that someone can advise where it goes. The only prob is that I don't know how to create a URL link for my image and when searching it seems like Surbo Croat. Can someone offer a link to a simpler process that I can follow.
