Hi everyone...

I got a XBox 360 with iExtreme 1.6 and when I try to install a recently released *cough* "back-up" game to the hdd, I get a "hdd installation is not supported".

Is this because my XBox has been banned or is it because the "back-up" is faulty?

I have both a Wave 4 version and a Wave 3 patched version.
And they both give me the same message.

Any help would be great...

Have you tried any real or other "backups" of games? what speed did you burn the games at?

Hey Kyle,

First; I've used Imgburn and selected the 2x speed.
(I have noticed though, that it actually burns at 3x speed, but I haven't had a coaster yet) And I use Verbatim DL as suggested.

Second; I've just tried my GOW original disc. Same result, I can play it, no problem, but I can't install it. And I have had this game installed before...

Maybe it's the November update that's messing with the box...?

The HDD capabilities of your XBOX have been crippled. Here's a link how to uncripple it. (quite advanced though)
It's not ur DVDs, it's the box.

well i read somewhere burning at 4x works pretty good also so if you ever have any problems after your's is uncrippled then try that
