Hi, i recently got myself a dual layer burner (Optiarc something or other), and some blank DL DVD's. I went for Ritek discs, i know they're not the best, but i know people who use them for the same purpose with little problems.
Anyway, i accidently got 8x instead of 2.4x, but i burnt my first game (Marvel vs Capcom 3) without issue regardless. Though i did have to use imgburn at 8x.
Since then i've burnt Homefront and Dragon Age 2 probably about 10 times, but they never work in the 360 - it just says Open Tray.
I've tried burning them at different speeds, but no luck.
Reckon it's just a case of poor discs / disc speed?
Strange how it worked first time with no problems though :\
Marvel vs. Capcom is a wave 6 game. Homefront & Dragon Age 2 are wave 11 games. You probably need to update your firmware on DVD drive to LT+ 1.1 (LT 1.0 for samsung) in order to play any newer wave games.

Then I would recommend getting verbatims 2.4x. I have maybe one coaster, and that's due to user error (me unplugging the computer from the wall before the burn finished). I was trying to unplug a 360 power supply and unplugged the computer instead lol. You really can't go wrong with verbs. I just can't imagine 10 bad burns in a row, even with Ritek. I've used TDK, and imgburn sees them at Ritek. I've had about 5 bad burns in a row in that 50 pack, so it could very well likely be the media. Good luck!
media is where i'd look at also so verbs from singapore of either 2.4 or 8x should see you on your way, however i don't use imgburn to do the job i use clonecd & it will burn at whatever speed you designate tho i use 8x verbs now burning @6x i was until recently using 2.4 verbs & burning them @ 2.4x never had an issue with a substantial amount of burns
