Hi!

I just dusted of my old x360 that i dugg out of the cellar and hooked it up because i wanted to play Dirt 2 and NFS's shift that i had just backed up. I burnt the games using ImgBurn and Verbatim DVD+R DL disks @4X speed. But when i try to play any of the two copies the xbox starts them as DVD movies? I get a white screen with an XBOX 360 logo and text. The firmware i have in my xbox is about 2 years old. I dont quite remember what version it is but i know its ixtreme something. I never play online so being "safe" from bans by constantly updating firmware hasnt ben an issue for me. So am i doing something wrong? Do these newer games need patching? Newer firmware to work? It's ben so long since iv'e backed up a game. Because the games at the time worked fine. Although all my games are at my brothers so i cant try them atm to see if they still work. I also tried burning with CloneCD but same there. They play as DVD movies :/

Please give me som advice!

You need to upgrade your firmware to 1.6 or 1.51 if it's Hitachi

They need the newest firmware to work, Ixtreme 1.6 I believe or 1.51 for the Hitachi which i have . Determine your drive then use the jungleflasher to flash, its much easier then 2 years ago.

Alternatively you can patch the .iso using the ppf-o-matic method, But I recommend updating your firmware as its easy and just eliminates most problems.

Awesome! I remember having an Hitachi drive. I'll download jungleflasher and uppdate then. Thanks for the help both of you!
