Problem with Hitachi drive indentification

This is my first Hitachi drive, so go with me on this. The drive is a 0059 model, but for some odd reason I cannot get JungleFlasher to recognize the drive! I've tried everything that I know of and nothing is working. If anyone has any pointers to fix this problem, it would be greatly appreciated!!

if this is from an xbox 360 slim then you can't flash it yet

no it's an old 1st or 2nd gen. Pre-HDMI console.
