Problem with USB ports

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if theres anyway to troubleshoot, or test the USB ports on my 360. I have a working network adapter, but when I connect it to this system, it flashes red for a split second, and then shuts off, and the 360 won't recognize it... I also tried with a flashdrive, and same deal, light (on the flash drive) flashed for a split second, and is not recognized by the system. I've tried it in all 3 ports, and same deal.

Can ALL 3 ports be shot? or is something shot on the mobo causing them not to work?
