I am currently trying to flash my Samsung ms25 drive but I keep encountering a problem when booting from the USB.

I follow all the steps in IPrep and get the files on the Flash Drive. I then change the settings in the BIOS to boot from the Flash Drive. It does show that I have this option to choose as a primary boot device. I am using the most current version on Iprep and Ixtreme 1.6. I located these files on Xbin

When the computer is loading up, it get an error along the lines of
"please remove media and hit enter to continue". When I remove the Flash Drive, I press enter and the computer cant go anywhere else because everything is unplugged.

My current set up is Windows Vista. Using the buitl in SATA cwhich is NVidia. Can anyone shed some light on this? Also I do not have a floopy drive. But if needed I can get one.

I have also tried using Jungle Flasher to flash, but I can not get it to recognize the Drive. Yesterday I was able to flash a Hitatchi with Jungle Flasher, but I have had no luck today. Any help would be great. Thanks

Yes in the above post, i stated I have tried using Jungle Flasher, but I can not get it to recognize the drive. Would using a different brand of flash drive help? The one I am using is called an Attache? I think thats how you spell it.

I was able to locate another program through this website.... really suprised there is not a sticky on it cause its extremely easy to use. Maybe there is and I just over looked it. The program is the 360 Modifications USB. Loaded it up and flashed it with out a problem. I have different I/O Ports im not a computer genius so I just tested each one out till one worked. Anyways just wanted to follow up for anyone in the future.

glad you got it sorted,

i was going to suggest unplugging ur HD and everything else, setting your bios to boot from HD and seeing if that worked. Sounds random right? Some mobo's like my asus crosshair formula II try and be smart, it detects that my memory stick is larger than 8/ 16gig and automatically sets it as a hard drive so when u tell it to boot from flash drive it just doesnt do anything lol

As for chipsets one of my other computers with an nVidia nForce2 chipset used to work a treat for flashing. However my other nVidia 780a does not. As a rule when using mobos i just toggle through all the sata ports in order praying one will work. When in doubt just purchase a VIA card ;)

peace
