So Ive got a 20GB drive full of DLC and I want to move all my stuff to a new 60GB drive Ive got from another console. Both HDDs are MS however every time I move the files over to the 60GB none of the files show up on the 360 and it tells me I have about 6GB free space. On my 20GB HDD it says I have 2GB free (which is accurate). Ive got everything hooked up SATA and I am using the program Xplorer360.

This wouldnt be an issue if it was just game saves as they could all be moved via memory card, but I dont want to re-buy all the DLC. Thanks in advance if anyone can help with this!

you can obtain a new lisence or something like that which enables you to re-download all of your dlc onto your new console.

homesick is correct, the only thing you will need to back-up are the actual game saves (and your Gamer Profile for convenience sake so you dont have to recover your profile). You will be able to re-download all your DLC from Live.

ok so now when i transfer over a single game save it does the same thing. the file itself is under 5mb and its showing only 10gb free in the 60gb hdd. hmmm i will try a few other things.

on a side note. if i have some DLC lets say a fallout3 expansion on my computer couldnt i transfer that to my 360 hdd somehow? again thanks for all the help!
