Hey guys, I've got a stock console with a lite-on 7 series (I know its a Lite-on, but not 100% sure its a 7 series-basing that on date of manufacture = Sept 08) and I want to flash it. I've read a few forums saying that ALL lite-on's requre soldering, and some that say no soldering required... I've also heard the RMA method is better, and some say its not necessary... i'm not even sure what this is.

I would appreciate any information you can provide about how, and safest method.

P.S. I'm also looking for a decent CK3 kit, if anyone knows of a good kit with a probe, pls post link. (I'm in Canada, and would rather buy canadian to avoid extra costs)
