I have been flashing consoles for a while now and haven't had any real problems doing it. It seems as of late though JF freezes my pc everytime I do a lite-on or benq drive. So I have been using Frostys usb drive to do it. After I dump the lite-on firmware in jungleflasher I create the cfw for it and put it on the flash drive bc it always crashes when doing the erase in JF. I have to use the custom option for lite-on drives as I use a usb to serial adapter. Is this safe to do. Personally I haven't experianced any problems but don't really see anybody mention the usb flash on here.

if JF freezes then you're still running the windows drivers which need renamed in c:\windows\system32\drivers\viamraid.sys to viamraid.sys.bak

Hmmm I only have the problem with lite-on and sometimes benq drives. All other drives flash properly. I also am using on board sata not a via card. It worked before with other versions. Is that something with this new version of JF
