Question about my Xtractor spear

I just got my 360Xtractor Pro v2.3 today. With it i also ordered the spear add-on so i could handle my liteon with out soldering. However i cant get the key. jungle flasher and xtrator keep telling n\either bad serial or bc=0 error. One thing i have noticed is that when the spear is on the blue light that is supposed to come on upon contact to the R707 is constantly on. Could this mean that it is the spear or am i doing it wrong being that i am a noob?

i used a homw made probe and i was getting bad serial data, it was due to my probe not being wired up properly, soon as it sorted bang! 2 elites one after another, just check the wores or just make a probe and kit, cost me £10 including soldering iron and solder etc.
