Hi,
i've installed fifa 10 to my hard drive and it works perfectly. I also want to know something: if you play a game from your hard drive, will the risk of being banned reduced or is the risk higher and is playing from your hard drive better for the xbox, the laser and avoiding other famous xbox issues?
thanks in advance

It'll be the same. Playing from the HDD will reduce the risk of RROD but there may be GPU problems still.

Also, saves wear and tear on the DVD drive.
I'm guessing ban risks are the same.

The same. I'm not even sure if I'm right though lol. Just going by common sense.

My only beef with it is... i have a 60gb hdd and it gets full pretty quick from installing games. How much free space to you all keep on your hdd?

lol i have the same problem with the 20 gig hard drive and one game at a time, what i want to know is why if the game is 8 gigs, does it only copy half of the game?
Also for those of you who want bigger hard drives look up how to buy a 120 gig sata hdd from like newegg and putting it in your 360 its pretty nifty

yeah, we know we could do that. I'm just too lazy, and have other purchases I'd rather make...
for example networking my entire house with a pimp switch and cat 6 cable...
regardless... it doesn't rip 8 gigs because the game itself might not be 8 gigs.
Sure the iso is, but the game itself might now be.

oh i see, i thought maybe it had to do with it not copying the copy protection to the hard drive which is why there currently isn't a way to just drag and drop an iso to the hard drive and not worry about burning disks ever lol

well thats the thing, u dont drop the iso's onto the hard drive you rip the game disk onto the hard drive, i think you go to game library and in there there an option to copy to hard drive

Space is used for the system files. Also that's normal for HDDs. Like if an HDD is 500GBs only around ~480GBs will be available for use.

halfway true.
for what you said pertaining to the 360, yes. But of regular hdds for computers, it has to do with how the size (bits, bytes, etc.) are measured, not because files are already installed on it.
eg. I have a 1 tb hard drive with like 940 gigs usable or something like that. there's no files on it.
