I was also affected by today's dashboard update because I play Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops on a regular basis. I have some questions:
If I ever want to play either of those games again, is my only choice to get my Xbox 360 flashed with LT+? Will that work? Would I have to make new backups patched specifically for LT+ afterwards? Will there ever be a way to play either of those games again without bothering with a re-flash?
Should an original copy of Modern Warfare 2 run, even after I tried to run a backup that failed?
Will I eventually be banned because I tried to turn on those 2 games after the update?
Once your console has failed an AP2.5 challenge, it's flagged for a ban. Flashing it to LT+ and patching the games (once patches are released) will allow you to play the games again, but your console is already marked for the next ban hammer session.
Yeah I read that already infamous, and I also read that they don't necessarily ban those flagged for it because of the reason that "scratched" original disks can give off the same thing as a backup.

Yes, if it is just an ap25 thing a patch for abgx should be released.

Just ap25 games

Use xval and see if you're flagged. If you are, probably.
