quick ? about the x-clamp fix

Hi all iv just got a second hand xbox 360 just a quick ? about the x-clamp fix I don?t know how old the xbox is but it has got a new warranty sicker on it is a good idea to put the x-clamp fix on to it and does it make any difference (STOP THE RROD ect) as the xbox is working fine at this time

yeah, why not.
thats what i would do, take a perfectly good working console apart and do the xclamp fix, even though it dont need it, i would do it anyway.
there will be other guys come in here and say "no! dont do it"
but dont pay attention to them, you will be doing the right thing fixing what isnt broke now and saveing you the same amount of time later on.
so do it now..DO IT RIGHT NOW! dont wait another second.
like my dad alway said "it pays to fix your things before they break'
and i alway did just that.

Dude, your post is totally confusing (and un-punctu-freaking-ated). Why would you want to X-Clamp it, if it's "working fine at this time"? Play that summa-muh-bish until it RRoDs on you, then X-Clamp it.

after have a look under the front panel it looks like its had a old sticker on it one of the sliver ones and now has the new sq one on it so do u think its had the RROD and been sent back to MS ? and if it has sould i just leave it r sould i do it

Stickers? Even if it has 17.437 stickers on it, the point is, that it works at this present point in time, so there is no need to "fix" it, because it works at this present point in time. If it stops working at this present point in time, fix it, or send it in, so that it will work at a future point in time. But at this point in time, it works, so leave it alone.

i told you that people would want to talk you out of it.
i would do it to spite them.
it will save you the same amount of time later. just think about it, time now or time later, you may not have time later.

from personal experience, extra fan didnt help me, made more noise and psu went bad. up to u, now i just put the xbox in vertical (dunno but looks like it colder this way, maibe its just me) and in a well ventilated place (no air restriction)

Wouldnt put the xbox in the upright position, more prone to accidents plus the instructions say not to for a reason.

I just blow on mine when i get the 3 red rings and it will snap out of it. I guess that's the luck i have though after being an astronaut all of these years and having incredible breathing abilitys from the immense training NASA put me through. I tell ya what, next time it happens, send me a pm with your phone number. I will call you up, and blow through the phone. I just might have enough power to do it, it just depends on how far away you live. So like if you live in california, there's no way i can reach that far man!
Or you could just fix it now, before it breaks, save time in the long run.
