i noticed about 2/3 the way down someone saying you can then boot xell and it will show you your cd and dvd key, can someone tell me if this is true and if i can use this to flash my drive.

1. i looked at xbins, whats with all the dashboard files, what are they used for
2. i think my console has the original dashboard, is there anyway of updating to the new dash with out going to a non-explotibale verison, there is no dvd drive yet
yes you can get your dvd drive key, and you can update via usb stick as well. so if you can find a dash that isnt past the 'hey we fixed the homebrew stuff' update, then go for it.

hey i just put my xbox back together and realized that my fans wont work, but the fans them self will work on another box, so where would be the best place to solder to so the fans will work

ok so i found out that something got burnt and bypassed some fuse i guess and the result is the fans working really load and really cold, so im think this might be an alternative to the 12 volt fan mod
