Hi,

I have a samsung Ms28 drive which has been flashed with Ixtreme 1.5 which has served me well but I'd like to upgrade the firmaware on it to the Ixtreme 1.61 or the Xtreme 5.3 firmware.

Can someone explain how to do this step by step please also which is the best firmware to have right now for the drives for backup games to work?

I should also mention that I had to spoof the drive as it originally had a Hitachi drive in my 360 before I purchased the MS28. Will this make a difference when flashing the new firmware?

I have my key saved to a text file so don't need to retrieve that from the drive if that helps.

I've also been told you need a boot disk to load the latest backup games. Anyone know where to get one from?

The only thing I can see on the threat you suggested is how to flash a stock Samsung drive not how to flash an already flashed samsung drive to upgrade it's firmware but thanks for the advice.

It also doesn't state which is the best firmware to go with, Iextreme 1.61 or xtreme 5.3.

Doesn't state either about the boot disk or where to get them.
