I bought a BenQ as a replacement for a broken Hitachi drive. I do not want to risk getting banned from XBL as this is not my console, so I want to basically replace the drive with the normal firmware.
1. Load your original Hitachifirmware into source.
2. Load ix1.6 for BenQ into target.
3. Click spoof source to target.
4. Go over to MTKFlash tab and get BenQ into vendor mode.
5. Click write.
6. Should verify OK, and you can shut off the drive and test it out.
Thanks for the help. And yea, near 2300 posts I believe. Just never went all the way :P
I saw that elseware on the forum, but the part at #2 Load ix6.1 for Benq into target made me believe that this would install the ixtreme firmware to the drive, but that appears not to be the case?
Ah, didnt see that you wanted stock firmware. Im not sure on the process for this sorry.
Im guessing you could just load your original BenQ firmware here instead. With BenQ's you can just erase and start again if it goes wrong, but I would wait for someone to confirm the process before doing it

Instead of loading IX 1.6 for BenQ, load Stock 62430C or 64930C (depending on the drive). Can find original firmware HERE.
