So, long story short my Xbox 360's BenQ drive doesn't work anymore. If I order a new drive can I just replace it without reflashing the old drive's keys to it (I was thinking of getting a Hitachi)? I'm not worried about getting banned because I already am.

If you order the exact same FW revision of BenQ, you can just swap PCBs. Although the PCBs do require unsoldering and soldering about 6 wires I believe. You can buy a Hitachi, but that would require spoofing your key to the Hitachi.

Yeppers.

And that's why you have to get the key from the old drive, and spoof it to the new drive.
