I am trying to rip some Backups to ISO's for later use. The ripping process with XBC works perfectly, except when I go to check it with abgx360, the game crc does not match. I know the original image the disk was burned from matched, so why doesn't this match? Does burning the game change something?
Thanks in advance.

Bump
Just tried it with another burned disk that I know the ISO was verified from and got the same result. What gives?

Sorry, I have never actually ripped a game, so I am not very knowledgeable in that area. However, if the CRC doesn't match, there is definitely a problem.
If you do a rip of one game and then rip it again, will the CRC of both rips match? This would be a good test to troubleshoot the pro.cess.
Maybe somebody else around here is a master ripper, but until we find them, I will try to help to the best of my ability.

Yeah, it was the same across 2 rips =/ I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe burning then re-ripping changes the CRC? I don't know what's going on ~.~

The burn and rip should be the same everything, no exceptions.
As long as you run your rips through ABGX on level 3 autofix, it should be fine, though.
What are you using for your rips? A Kreon drive or a regular DVD drive?
My friend also had a problem with the CRCs when he tried to use his regular DVD drive to rip games.

I am using an SH-D163B Drive flashed with Kreon 1.0.
In windows explorer I can only see the windows partition and it recognizes my dual layer DVD's as regular DVD's.

Very strange. Do they patch OK if you run ABGX on them?
Do you have AnyDVD or a type of program that removes copy proection running? This program is awesome but can corrupt rips, so turn it off when you rip.
Also, you might want to check for dust/scratches/etc on your burner's laser. Incorrect CRC means the data is not transferring properly. It's strange it'd transfer incorrectly twice, though. That's why I mentioned the AnyDVD thing.
You might also try ripping a regular movie DVD and see if you can get a good rip like that, just to verify your drive's integrity.

You could try that. It may or may not be dangerous. I am not sure how that particular drive responds to corrupt firmware, which is always a risk when flashing. If it's safe, then it wouldn't hurt to try. Maybe somebody else can confirm this.
I really don't know that much about ripping, so I don't know exactly what you should try, but obviously the tutorials on the subject are recommended. Make sure you are following all of the steps right. There is a tutorial here on this site if you do a search for it.
If you are already following everything in the tutorial and still getting those errors, then I really don't know what to say.
And you aren't running AnyDVD, right?

I did a little reading and others have had this same error with XBC. It is advised to use the program Schtrom360Xtract in this case. Just Google the program's name and download it from the first link. Hope this fixes your problem.

I just used ABGX360 to check the actual disk and it showed up with the same CRC as the ripped ISO file was. So maybe it got corrupt during the burning process?
But I don't understand how this can be true, because I've played on live with this backup numerous times, and I'm willing to bet that if the game CRC's didn't match M$ would be all over me.

Not necessarily. MS bans in big waves.
Do you have the actual original disc or just a burned copy of it? If you ripped it and got a bad CRC on your original copy, I guess it's pretty clear why you'd be getting a bad CRC on rips of that copy.
Or, maybe ABGX has it wrong and you have it right. If you have the original game you can test that theory.
