I've got a flashed BenQ drive (0800) and a SATA to USB adapter on the way. I want to rip games using my laptop. What do I need to make it happen? Anything more than what I've got? Connectivity kit? Any additional hardware?

You will need someway to power the drive. The connectivity kit allows you to turn a molex plus in to the correct power for the 360 drive, unfortunately your laptop will not have a molex. You could always use the xbox itself for power, but that may add a ban flag (though I highly doubt M$ would ban on that flag alone)
Not sure about the SATA to USB adapter, would of went for a PCMCIA sata card myself but let us know if it works.

Well, the SATA/USB adapter has a power output, but I'm pretty sure I'll need a molex adapter to plug it into the drive as it's intended for SATA hard drives, IIRC. Here's the one I ordered: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001Q4Z5KY/ref=oss_product
So basically it'll be the BenQ drive -> Molex adapter -> SATA/USB adapter -> Laptop USB. Not sure if it'll work either, but you say a PCMCIA sata card would do the trick if it doesn't? Even for a laptop?

Problem with this is that the BenQ does not have a molex power plug, is has a specific XBOX 360 power input. So for power you would need BenQ > Connectivity Kit > Sata power from your adaptor
PCMCIA card would do the trick for the sata connection, but prolly not the power.

Ah, so I guess I'll be getting a connectivity kit then. What's the best one to get? The best place to buy one?

Ah, thanks. One more question: is it possible to turn the BenQ drive into an external drive with some type of enclosure? If so, what's the best way to do that? I'd rather not just have it sitting out the way it is if there's another way.
