RROD One ring No AV

Hi guys, Now then my XBOX 360 last night crashed during a game. Now there are no AV being displayed at all and its showning one red ring.

Would it be worth repairing or just get another one?

It has a Hitachi 59 drive, could I get another xbox 360 and just swap the drive? Or is there more modding required to do that?

Likely you got either an E74 but it was too bad to show on the display or you got an update error that's randomly reported when the solder has half of a connection and it doesn't know what's wrong E61.

You now probably have 0102 which is related to the GPU or southbridge or the way they are connected. Check the code : http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/Xbox-360-error-codes.htm

The codes are a bit outdated so post back with what code you get and someone here will help.

Hi there, there is no code. Just three flashing red rings. I have now cleaned the CPU and GPU, put some artic paste on again and taken the xclamps off and replaced them with bolts and let the xbox box heat up to
heat the join. It has made no difference.

Any more ideas, see if it has an error I could try and find a fix but I have no AV what so ever.

You can check the error by holding the sync button and pressing eject and checking how many lights start flashing, then keep holding sync and press eject again to move onto the next one there's 4 digits.

Number of lights flashing:

1 = 1
2 = 2
3 = 3
4 = 0

So you should be able to make a code out of these like 0102 etc.
