Hello Afterdawners,

Newb computer-dimwit here, hoping to get some much needed help from the xbox-heads on here!

I bought a 360 recently that had been flashed with iXtreme 1. 51. It came with some burnt games (Fifa9, PES9, Bioshock, Prototye) and they work fine. I downloaded two ISOs and burnt them onto some Verbatims using the usual procedure, a program called agbx360 and OSx360 that I was told to use by a helpful YouTuber :)

Now, when I run the 1st game (Street Fighter 4), I get a white screen with the 360 logo, an option to 'playDVD', basically it don't work. When I try and play the 2nd, FIFA 11, I get a 'Mixed media disc' error.

I've spent a good few hours reading the forum and i'm getting a lot of conflicting advice. Do I need to update my dashboard? Do I need to update the firmware to a newer version of LT? Or is it something to do with the 'wave'? I've read in a few places that 1.51 reads all waves ... so this has left me a little confused. I'm using an iMac, incase it matters!

Thanks for any help, i'm much obliged.

You need to have someone flash your 360's drive to LT+1.1. You can't do it with an iMac :( I'm a mac man myself, but I always keep a windows desktop around for flashing drives, and backing up games. The only drive with 1.51 that can read any wave is a hitachi AFAIK. They're changing the Disc format for future games to prevent playing backups. The new dashboard will be here in a few weeks and pretty much ruin everyone's flashed 360 (that update their dashboard or play on Live), so I've read.... (except for the ones who have a offline JTAG).

Hey Bill,

Not sure if this changes anything but I don't any interest in playing online.

So just to be sure, there's nothing else I can do but update it to play the newest games?

It seems to play 2009 backups just fine, but of course FIFA 11 is a v new game .. so at what cut-off point am I able to play ripped games? 2010? I mean, up to what wave?

Thanks a lot, pal
