just assuming i have access to any xbox 360 disk drive;
which drives could i flash w/ a
Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller. (i updated its driver software)
Also can you say which drives are the easiest to flash(i mean solder-free, i have no equipment for tht task) that are still compatible w/ this chipset(i currently have a liteon drive which i hear needs extra equipment to flash)
I don't know if your chipset is compatible or not. You'd have to connect the drive and see.
No soldering: BenQ (easiest to flash).
No soldering: Samsung (I personally don't like them, but fairly easy).
No soldering: Lite-On 83850c v1 (Fairly easy)
No soldering: Lite-On 74850c (need a connectivity kit with a probe for a dummy dump).
Soldering: Lite-On 74850c (need a connectivity kit with a "newer" probe for a FULL dump).
Soldering: Lite-On 83850c v1 (need a connectivity kit with a "newer" probe for a FULL dump).
Soldering: Lite-On 83850c v2 (need a connectivity kit with a "newer" probe for a FULL dump).
Soldering: Lite-On 93450c (need a connectivity kit with a "newer" probe for a FULL dump).
one of the xboxs my friend has was bought when they first came out, and was later refurbished by microsoft. It was a liteon, but since it was bought so early im guessing it could be the earliest model. Would microsoft replace the harddrives when u send an xbox to them to fix the RRoD?
also the Lite-On 83850c v1 is listed under no-soldering and soldering...which one is it?
I want to be as prepared as possible..and this already isnt the easiest job..especially for a first timer..=S
