Hey,

I was wandering, and sorry if this a noob question, but say if I have a Non-Genuine Xbox 360 HDD and install games on it will it ban my console ? or is it saving game saves on the HDD gonna get you banned ?

(By the way I am never planning to go on LIVE, and will only manually update my Xbox firmware when everyone in the world has first to clear the path and say it's OK! to update)

Biggest concern is losing the ability to install games on the HDD. I have the latest firmware at the moment.

And if someone can delight me, to name all the ways I could get banned (aka. Lose the ability to install games)

Using a non M$ hard drive will not get you banned, neither will saving your game.

FYI Everyone can now play games off the hard drive, even those that were unable to previously. The latest 9199 update allows it again.

Sweet lol, could you please explain to me how a BAN Wave works. Say with that HUGE ban wave on modified consoles that banned consoles from going on LIVE/Install games. Do you have to be on LIVE to actually get banned (in the past that is when it did ban the HDD), or say if the update did notice you have a dodgy firmware on the DVD drive or having a third-party HDD, the only way they could only ban you was connecting back on Live ? OR can they do it on offline mode as well. Sorry for the confuision, I heard that the xbox stores like a message to send to M$ to ban the console officially. Am I right in saying that ?

If you are flagged for a ban, you will be banned on your next connection to xbox live.
