Is there going to be any other firmware released for the benq in the near future that anyone knows about. I want to be able to play wave 4 games but I only have 1.51 now. It is such as royal pain to flash my xbox I jsut want to know if I will be good for awhile if I flash to 1.6

No, there will probably be a new release soon. But it's not really that difficult to flash a box.

Do you believe the only Difference in firmwares will be the use of an activation disc to boot wave 4

If you don't like flashing your 360, definitely wait for 1.61.

Has anyone heard of a release date for 1.61? If it's gonna be like a month I might as well flash now. Is the activation disc only required to boot wave 4?

C4E says 1.61 will be out by the end of the month, so I'd wait.

Sweet. Thanks for the heads up. This new firmware should address the issue of
having to use the activation disc, correct? I have a benq drive.

What he said. If only to not have to open that damned case more than once in a month!
