should I mod my Xbox360 to play burn games?

I followed the instructions on how to burn xbox360 games and did it the exact way as instructed.
I used ImgBurn and burn the .dvd file, using DVD + R DL.. but it didn?t work in my Xbox360? I want to know if I should flash, or mod my xbox360 in order for the games to work?
Please reply?. Thank you?.

If you don't flash your 360 it won't play burnt games.

Yup, you have to flash it first. You should also use verbatim brand discs as well - In most cases your flashed 360 wont even read off brand (non verbatim) discs.

well i was hoping there would be a good thread for my 5000th post, and sure enough there was. why do all of you noobs ask if you should mod your console? its totally up to you, i personally could care less if you did. and how did you think an unmodded console would play any burnt games at all?

Please read the bananna split ultimate sticky. You need a bananna and a mod chip. Flashing does not work!

I hardly ever post on here since I am able to find answers to all my questions just by reading and searching. I mainly come here just to read what's going on but man oh man this is getting old. PEOPLE...JUST READ!!! If you can't find an answer to something that has been asked over and over and over then honestly you should just hit START--->SHUT DOWN on your PC and just leave it that way.

And you'd think your 5000th post would be somewhat helpful. Instead, all you really did was help fuel a flame-fest. If it were up to me, status would be something to earn, not spamming multiple posts to +post count.
But anyway, "blak4life" your console has to be modded. You should use the search function, and check the stickies and even use google to research how this can be done.

and if it was something to be earned, i'm very very very very confident i still would have the same status. just look around, there are very few people in this forum that answer as many questions and offer as much help as i do. i can count on one hand the amount of people that regularly offer information that is legit, truthful and helpful. but when you have people like the OP that blatantly did no research what-so-ever, and didn't plan on doing any, then a little bit of flaming is justified.

Sorry dude, but wabash is right here. If you are in the 360 section a lot, then you would know that these questions are answered over and over. You should already know this though. I'd have to side with Wabash, as I would have put the same response that he did.

I actually looked at the other 360 burning thread and even there it says you need a modded console. So I don't know how he missed that...

Yet he want's to know if his box needs to be modded/flashed. That alone means he half-heartedly researched. Flashing/modding is the 1st step! He figured out how to "properly"
burn 360 ISOs, yet is trying to play them on a stock console.
That is funny AND flammable.
