Everything checks out its the french verison and im getting disk 2 from allstar as well.

How does "everything check out" when the game's not in the database yet? Wasn't the French release the one where the guy didn't upload all of the rar files, so someone used the "keep broken files" option to unpack it? If so, you're a fool if you play that online.

Yeah the French copy was damaged. Playing that game is an instant ban. But you should realize that just because a game isn't in the database doesn't mean it's safe. abgx was just a group that got together to start verifying all 360 games to say you are safe to play it. But as long as it's a clean rip you're fine.
Anyways, DON'T PLAY the french copy. Unless you're wanting to get banned. Even playing the Allstars version before release puts you at risk, cause this is a game that M$ is hoping will be a hit. I personally have played it, and it's short, but it's Halo, so of course they will make money off of it.
And just so you all know, Disc 1 is the Campaign, and Disc 2 is the Multiplayer with all the maps, and 3 new maps. In fact when you insert Disc 2 in the 360, it shows up as Halo 3, and not Halo ODST. So don't be worried if you see that and think you did something wrong.

do you even really have to ask this question? take 2 seconds to think about this. Is it safe to play a game that isn't out yet on live. Well from M$ point of view theres 3 groups of people that have access to games before release. Developers/testers, reviews, and pirates. The largest group probably being those pirates, and they probably know who the reviewers and developers/testers are. So with that being said is it really even plausable to think your completely safe?

There's another group of people you didn't mention - those who legitimately bought a game early. I regularly get games before the release date when I pre-order them. Halo 3: ODST was on sale for a short time in France and MS have categorically said that they won't ban legitimate players of the game that are playing it early.

Yea but not over a week early, and that was in france they can tell where you are playing from. If your not playing from france then chances are your illegitimate. Not saying your getting banned for sure but i'm saying there are some things not worth the high risk. to me this seems like an invitation for ban hammer.

I played the french version and beat it...
but hell if I actually connect my xbox to the internet while I play it!
