Official Details: "If you?re an Xbox Live player on Modern Warfare 2, there are some big updates hitting tomorrow (March 30th) in the early morning. Included in those are:
The Stimulus Package (Downloadable Content): The first dlc for Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer hits exclusively first on Xbox Live. It?ll be coming to other platforms at a later date as well, but tomorrow morning you?ll be able to download the 5 new maps including Bailout (seen above), Salvage, Storm, and my favorite classic maps Crash and Overgrown.
Double XP: Originally planned to do it this weekend, but we?ve decided to throw the Double XP switch early when the new maps hit. So jump online with the new DLC and check out the two new DLC specific playlists.
Stimulus and Hardcore Stimulus Playlists: These two playlists are 100% dedicated to the new maps, and are Double XP enabled. So jump on and experienced the new DLC you downloaded, get double XP, and experience all your favorite gametypes along with some hardcore variants of them.
Ranger maps added to HCHQ: We?re adding a few maps to the Hardcore Headquarters Pro playlist on Xbox Live, allowing you now play all the Ranger maps in this gametype, something I know a lot of users have been asking for! These maps include Highrise, Invasion, Skidrow, and Terminal.
Title Update: Along side the DLC, but something ALL of our users will get, is a title update for Modern Warfare 2. Included in this update is support for the DLC (if you choose to purchase it), as well as some tweaks to the One Man Army perk, some matchmaking updates that will help our international users find more locally hosted games thanks to how ping is now sorted, and various other code updates that will help improve the overall quality of multiplayer on Modern Warfare 2.
There is no exact time you can expect all this, I?d say early morning when traffic is at its lowest, but by the time you wake up and get online I?m sure it will be available to most of you on March 30th! See you online all this week!

definitely looking forward to the OMA and net-code tweaking. Hopefully there'll be much less grenade spam and lag afterwards. The maps...meh, bit overpriced for 3 new and 2 old ones, but i'll still get em.

Yeah, I wish all the 10th cheaters got banned however not likely. The thing that ticks me is Ebay doesn't seem to mind peeps selling lobby spaces.
*If I get overgrown 1 more time without playing bailout I'm gonna throw my controller. 50 matches and still haven't played it :(

at least you got to play. i dled the maps, and couldnt dl the TU for like 3 hours. finally got that, then spent the next hour trying to find a match before i said F-it and left.
add in the fact that you can only use hard core, and their stupid random game selections for the new maps. makes it pretty much pointless as i just like to play ground-war not all the other BS.

there is something wrong with live at the moment.
server overload id bet i checked the mw 2 multiplayer menu just now and it said nearly 900000 players online playing mw2 (or trying to lol)
i hope they change the random bulls*it on the new maps you should be able to choose which game mode you want to play like the map packs in codwaw.
and what the f*ck was the point in releasing the maps a month earlier than ps3 if it aint working properly.

i think it has somethign to do with the new search function with the update.
yesterday before i updated whe i tried to join a game it would search 100ms ping and get at least 20 out of 50 good connections then connect to a game in a few seconds.
now after the update it cycles trough from 50ms to 150ms and all with nothing.
i did get a couple of connections but that is after an hour of trying.
i am getting this with all of the maps not just the new map pack.
what a load of bollox.

this is being done the same way that WaW and mw1 was. double XP on the new maps only for the first few days with random gayness searching, then double XP and normal play lists after that.
