I'm pretty new on the xbox 360 mod scene, so far I believe my drive can be modded.
It's a liteOn 83850c v1 manufactured in june 09, a pci-sata card and a sata cable is all I need yes?
Besides programs for flashing it of course
1) Yes a Via SATA 6421A and a SATA cable will do the trick.
2) You will need a 22ohm resitor, a 2 way switch, soldering iron (+ soldering skills), a trace repair pen. Or there are kits you can buy for option 2, but I always go for the cheapest option.
Option 1 is way easier than option 2 but is more likely to get you banned.
I thought nowadays they couldnt detect you if you're playing backups that have stealth patched into them?
That's only what I've read though, I could be quite wrong.

Its a constant cat & mouse game, we mod, they ban, we mod with new uber firmware, they ban, we mod with ultimate firmware, they ban and now we have Lite Touch.
Myself, I'd go with option 1 as its easier and I'm lazy but the choice is yours.
