Hello again guys...

I'm stuck again and am looking for a hand out here. I have my buddies 360 and he'd really like to play AC Brotherhood, but it has the new AP 2.5.

So, I flashed the Spoofed BenQ drive (his old drive died so I replaced it with a good used one several months back) with the latest LT+, then grabbed the ISO for AC Brotherhood and used ppf-o-matic3 and patched it using a patch I found at team-xecuter.com, then I updated my abgx360 to v1.0.5 (which this seems a bit odd, but even after uninstalling it and reinstalling the v1.0.5, under help/about it still shows up as Version 1.0.2? Any thoughts there?). In any case, I ran the ISO through its paces there with no errors.

But as soon as I popped the game in there, it would recognize it as Brotherhood and when I click it to play it would prompt me to run an update (dashboard update). I've read here and there that I may need to do that so I went ahead and ran the update via download/usb. Loaded without a hitch. But now I'm getting a "This disk is Unreadable"...

I've tested older titles and they all load fine...

So now I'm stumped...

Any help here guys?

Thanks a bunch!

first off, you don't use ppf-o-matic3. Download the most current abgx 1.05 and run the iso through it and burn if you are on LT + 1.1 and it also won't boot if your dash is not current. Log into live and make sure you update to the most current dash.

I had the same problem with a spoofed benq and the new dash (first kinect dash update). The Xbox originally had a hitachi in it. No matter what drive I used, "benq, samsung, liteon, the drive wouldn't work. As soon as I found a working hitachi and injected the dvd key onto it, it worked like a charm. I believe that the new dash somehow knows what the original drive was in the console, and even if spoofed, the console knows that it's not the right drive. This was just my experience, and may or may not help you.

He spoofed it because the drive he had in it (unknown until he responds) failed. I really think if he finds the original type drive that came in the 360, and he injects the key into it, it will start working again.

I think it varies from person to person. Spoofing works for some on the new dash, and others it doesn't. From what I've recently read, you can spoof any drive to a hitachi and it seems to work for most, but not everyone. Thanks infam0us for your experience with spoofing with the new dash. Anyone else have any other combination of cross spoofing with success?

yeah i have been having great success with not spoofing at all, just injecting the key and leaving the drive as it is, if it is a sammy leave it as a sammy and just write the appropriate key to it, i have only seen one 360 that has rejected that method and thats out of maybe 40 i have done that way.

Hey ModKing,

Thanks for the reply... Yeah, I've read that I shouldn't need to use ppf-o-matic3 but I was getting desperate... (o: In any case, I'm thinking I did update to version 1.0.5 on my ABGX but like I had mentioned before I was starting to question if it installed correctly since it continues to show up as 1.0.2 under Help/About? If you have it installed and running correctly on your end is there any chance you could check to see if it shows up as either 1.0.2 or 1.0.5?

Thanks again!

Hey BillB,

Well it's good to hear that I'm not the only one who has run into this... The system (to the best of my knowledge) originally came with a Lite-On Drive 74850C. Although, I can't be %100 sure since he purchased this system used with the drive already flashed. Fortunately, I recently picked up a spare Lite-On 74850c. I'm going to try flashing it later tonight.

Wish me luck, cuz this replacement drive is untested... (o:

Thanks!

I'm going to attempt to flash an untested replacement of the same type later tonight...
