spoofing hitachi 47 to new dvd drive help

had a bad flash cannot open hitachi anymore...i have the dvd key but what drive would be best to spoof it too the samsung or benq. also some simplified jungle flasher instructions would b great thanks

you still may be able to recover it. Can you manually eject it? If so do that and while it is open and turned on, pull the power so when it turns off the tray is ejected. From there, plug it in, turn it on with the tray still ejected, and you may be in modeB. If so try reflashing.

Otherwise, i flashed a hitachi drive to a sammy ms28 before and that was easy. Im sure it doesnt matter what you flash to, its all the same except for the lite-on(for the most part)

In Jungle Flasher:

Load original Hitachi firmware in Source.
Load ix1.6 for Samsung or BenQ into target.
Click spoof Source to Target.
Go to MTKFlash tab and get BenQ/Samsung into vendor mode.
Write firmware.
