at the moment i have most games on an external hard drive, to start a game i log on, run xexmenu then browse to the hard drive, higlight the game (its just a named folder) and press start.
what id like is for the games to show up in the game library with pics ! is this possible? and then to start with the press of the "A" button

You need Freestyle dash, this does exactly what you are wanting and you can set it to load when you first boot your xbox.You will need to create yourself a freeboot image Guide Here and then flash it to your xbox with flash360
