Hi all,
My xb360 is flashed with 1.51 which I know is an old version but I have no means of getting it reflashed with a newer version. I got it flashed when I lived in Denmark but now I am in Iceland and I dont know of anyone here that can flash the thing to a newer version and I can´t do it myself.
Is there anyway for me to play these newer games (FableIII and Crysis2) with that old firmware ? Are there some apps like wave changers, PPF-o-matic or even updating the dashboard via USB that can help me play those games.
I dont care about live, the box is never connected and will probably get banned if I go online.
Is my only solution to get if flashed to a newer version ?

with non ap2.5 games you can just patch the wave to a lower one but with AP2.5 enabled games on the 2.0.12625.0 dash you must have LT+1.1 to play

Well I am on 1.51 benq and I can play anygame out there so far. All I do is use the old wave patcher, abgx, and imgburn and its as easy as pie. I'll help you if you want.

I'm on iextreme 1.61 on a lite on drive.so the pit can u tell me does it matter what wave u lower it to, and basically u run your iso or DVD file with wavepatcher and then run it through abgx and then imgburn,is that correct.I got fable 3 to work but I didn't use wave patched, I just ran iso through abgx and I boot it up with activation disk.
So hopefully this is right, if I only play offline I don't have to upgrade to lt+ I can just wave patch the newer games is that correct?

yeah I should have said that in my earlier post that this is only good for offline play. I wave patch every game so far and I have had no issues. I have never used the activation disk but from what I have read it just skips the stealth check. Someone else may comment on that. My steps are:
1. Wave patch to wave 3
2. Run iso through ABGX ( it will fail pfi and stealth checks everything else will be good). SS and DMI should pass. Also the only reason I use ABGX is to check for layer break and make sure that it is in fact a 360 iso.
3. Burn with imgburn
These are the steps that I use and I have yet to make a coaster so goodluck.

sorry for jumping in on this topic, but you all sound as though you know what you are talking about....i have been burning xbox iso and all i keep getting is the xbox 360 logo when i load it up, it just says play dvd, i have followed the tuts but i have 8 verbatim coasters now, the game is lego starwars 3 i am on f/w 1.6.1 flashed with jungle flasher, i have lite-on burner changed booktype but it's getting expensive now..please help

You need to update your firmware on your 360's drive to LT+1.1. The firmware you are currently using won't boot most newer games.

thanks BillB, someone has said that if i patch it with wavepatcher to wave 3 it should work, i never go online with this box anyway i am trying to download wavepatcher now to try it, thanks again will keep posted cheers

Hburtonr before u throw out those discs try activation disk cause the same thing happened to me with my first attempts,then I put the activation disc first after it loaded up I swapped it with game disc and it worked so give it a try.let us know how u went with Lego star wars 3 if this method worked for u.

If you dont go online it is smart to just patch to wave 3. I'm on 1.51 and I have no problems.

reggio85 i tried the activation disk iso burnt it to another dl disk put it in the 360 and it says to insert it in a xbox 360 console.....thanks for trying buddy

Once you have put in the activation disc and it loads up saying to insert into xbox then u eject drive and put the game disc in the console will reset and game will load don't turn off the console during this process

Nah it didn't work just came up with the same xbox 360 logo, so i wave patched a game called apache assault it was a wave 4 and i changed it to wave 3, when i inserted it said i needed an update so i clicked yes and it did the update then it looped back saying that the game needed an update again, but i am getting closer, maybe i should patch it back to wave 4 :-((

i have just found out that the game bullet storm is a wave 10 game....should i patch it to wave 3 ? i am on the new dashboard (kinect) with ixtreme 1.6

Thats strange all my backups are straight rips and I've never had to wave patch any of them.I'm on iextreme 1.61as well , but I'm on the old dashboard 2.0.8955.0 .
From wave 6 down the games boot up normally and from wave 6 up I use activation disk.
So at this point I can only suggest do a straight rip off original then run it through abgx burn with imgburn. The latest game I've done is fable3 and it works with activation disk.
Anyway give that a try and let us know how u went

well i've done it HOORAYYYY , i connected the hard drive then i used Kinect adventures to install the new dashboard then my wave 3 games now work, so i just have to patch all my iso's to wave 3 job done, thanks to all who replied

Yeah I think Mirosoft has done something to the dashboards. I had the kinect dash and Homefront wouldnt install the update. So I went online and got the latest dash and put it on my usb flash drive. It froze up installing it. I then used the revert back to previously working dash (While console is off, holding the sync button, hitting power button, until dashboard boots up, then releasing the sync button) and everything works. I am currently playing Tiger woods 12. Its just a matter of finding a combo that works for you. Now if someone could come up with a program to patch the ping limit to 100 or something then we would all be set. Get on it Devs. lol.
