Okay, I am officially stumped. I have been working on fixing my xboxs rrod for weeks.
I currently have it sitting open on my lap, with the power and av cord plugged in.
At times when i turn on my 360 the fans begin to spin extremely fast and then they just completely stop and i get the 3 blinking red ring
Other times when i power on and i hold my fan over my motherboard i only get two flashing red lights. However my fan still acts the same, it starts very fast and then just powers down.
What in the world does this mean??? I believe this has become an issue that I no longer understand.
Please if you have had a similar experience, explain what you did / what is causing this fluctuation with the rrod.

This is the typical behavious of a xbox thats overheating.
How have you fixed your RROD? If you have used the xclamp, make sure all your screws are tight. Make sure you have also cleaned the heatsinks, GPU & CPU till they shine, then apply a small amount of Artic Silver 5.
How many washers are you using between the Mobo & your heatsinks?
