i have soldered all the right wires to the right spots, ive tried with and without resistors bt i still get that no flash device detected error. Im running windows 7 and my cable is about 40cm long. The reason im doing it is to get the dvd key.

do you have the new glitch chip or are you tring to get the keys via regular jtag hack,if you are tring the regular way and your dash is higher then 8199,then forget it,

40cm is about 15.7 inches long. Way back when the JTAG first came out, I made my cable about 18 inches. Didn't work. Shortened it to 11 inches. It worked. I used it for about 10 JTAGs. with no problem.

Shorten your cable a bit.

Actually you can dump it you just cannot go the other way. At least I did on mine ;)

can i get my dvd key without xell? I can use coolshrimps jtap tool right? Then i dont have to write xell right?
