Stupid Question! Can you save game save files without a hard drive

Hi Guys

I want to take the hard drive of my modded xbox 360 as the modded 360 got banned online and use the hard drive on a new arcade machine to use correctly for downloading stuff of xbox live etc.

CAN YOU STILL SAVE GAME SAVE FILES ON THE MODDED 360 WITHOUT A HARDDRIVE,

I am not bothered about saving game files from the modded 360, however will still use this for single player games so want to know if i can get away with not having a hard drive on the modded 360

sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. I just need to work out if its worth buying a new xbox arcade or an elite. would like to save cash if possible

You need a hard drive to save, unless your console has built in memory.

You could also get a memory card, which would be cheaper but would probably still meet your needs.

So i could get a memory card for the modded 360 so i can just save game, save files and then i could safely put the hard drive onto the new 360. I dont need to worry about save files on the new 360 because all the games save files onit will be from games that only work on the modded 360 which have been completed.

the new 360 will be for new games and online play and downloads so will need the hard dribe.

will keep the modded one for obvious reasons, single player games etc, which you think will be ok with a memory card

I've never used one myself, but I think it will be fine. Especially if you play one game at a time, and then don't care about the save files after you finish a game, like your style seems to be, I don't see an issue with using a memory card.
