My friend gave me his xbox to fix because it had the three ring. So I performed the heatgun trick and it worked like a charm. Ive flashed 2 or 3 sammies before with no problem, but this time... all hell broke loose. Of course i used iprep and of course i pressed ignore everytime there was a floppy disk error. So when i flashed it the first time iprep did not spoof the firmware to the ixtreme firmware. So not knowing this i put the xbox completely back together, and plugged it in to test it. It took about 3 minutes at the xbox sphere and it FINIALLY loaded into the dashboard. When i shut it and rebooted the console it gave me the e65 error so thats when i knew i flashed the wrong firmware key or the firmware was corrupt. So i said screw iprep and used dosflash32 this time and spoofed the firmware using jungleflasher then flashed it with dosflash32. Everything worked out fine.... NOT... the problem got even worse. The drive didnt spin, nor did it close. only ejected like 1% of the time.

The stock firmware is ms25 and the ixtreme firmware was ms28.


I have no clue what to do next.... Is ixtreme 1.6 incompatible with ms25?

iXtreme 1.6 is compatible with the ms25. Try using Jungle flasher to make and flash the drive. Follow leerages guide in the sticky, its worked for me everytime"

Alright i guess i will just try flashing it via jungleflasher and see what happens.
