Right now i have a hitachilg drive flashed with Ixtreme (whatever the latest is from xbins) and i recently got a broken 360 with a working samsung drive. i have the bin file for my dvdrom key from jungleflasher, and i am wondering if i can use the samsung drive in my 360 b/c i want the ability to make backups of my official discs. I searched around the net and it seems possible, but i cant make sense out of alot of stuff. Sorry if i missed something.

Nope. As far as I know, the the sammy drives can't be spoofed to replace the other brands. Only the benq, and hitachi drives can be spoofed to replace the others.
If you want to make your own backups (apposed to d/ling them, ect.) then I believe there is a way to do this without buying anything extra like a new/particular drive... Do a google search for textbook.2008.pdf, download it, and look under the section: "Backing up games"> "WxRipper". Or I guess just google "WxRipper". I haven't tried this myself though.

Actually, any drive can be spoofed to any XBOX 360.
Steps in Jungle Flasher:
Load original Hitachi firmware into Source.
Load ix1.6 for Samsung into target.
Click spoof Source to Target.
Go to MTKFlash tab and get Samsung into vendor mode.
Write the firmware.
If you ever want to try to sell/fix the broken XBOX 360, I suggest dumping the Samsung firmware and saving it. It contains the DVDkey that is linked to the broken XBOX 360's motherboard.
thanks alot man, ill try that later. i wont be able to sell the 360. some guy dropped it out his window. unless i buy a new case but i may just toss the console and keep some parts for my box.
