Hi,

I am very very new to this and have done a bit of research on this topic. i had 2 xboxs and one with a disc drive problem. so without knowing i swapped drives over to only research that each drive has a unique key. so i put the old drive back in and got it to work but said play dvd not play game so i researched that and found that i flashed it by accident.

i then dug a bit further and found out if i use jungle flasher flash it myself and then it works. so i did all of that and installed ixtreme lt on it and i can finally play a game again.

my questions are:

1. i heard that i could still get banned from xbox live for having the firmware is that true and if so is there a way of hiding it?

2. is there any way of putting the original key back onto that drive as i have it saved with out having to have ixtremem a legit way or can only microsoft do that?

Yes you can get banned. Running the latest iXtreme LT firmware will help your chances of not getting banned but there is no guarantee that it will keep you from getting banned.

Inject your DVDkey back into original firmware and flash the drive.

You can do this is you already have a firmware that has your DVDkey in it.

1. Load up the firmware that has your DVDkey into Source.
2. Load up original firmware for your drive into Target.
3. Click spoof source to target.
4. Flash the firmware.

This can be done in Jungle Flasher.
