video didn't show the read process :\ Looks great though, I think xecuter had theirs first but since they'll both probably do the same thing I'll probably just go with whoever's cheaper

It's the never ending battle between those guys. As soon as Maximus releases one, team X jumps on and says they had it first blah blah. Now the issue this time is that Maximus has embeeded a security chip to prevent it from being copied. Of course, maybe that will get cracked eventually. Team X always finds something later, claims it theirs and says it got copied. I've seen this on a few products they have released. This happens both ways. Like you said, which ever is cheaper, regardless, this is good for us.

i imagine this needs to be used in conjunction with a ck3 and a probe(where needed) right?

Wow that must have been hard JP. ;)
Will M$ be able to counter this and if so how easily. Didn't really follow the jailbreak but didn't sony have an update out to try and stop it within a few days.

Power will need to be provided by a xtractor. As for security, Maximus has embedded a security chip to prevent copying, etc.

LOL, I was just waiting for him to post some REAL info. When he did he got the thank you it deserved. First post was a joke though so thats why I replied the way I did. Also, yes Sony had a "fix" out for the jailbreak even before the product was released.

To dump a liteon you would need to probe with the spear, even the device can confirm this from the video, but the problem is the LT and LT+ disable the R707 so how exactly is anyone going to dump

Wrong. There is no spear. It all dumps over usb. Team X has a similr tool. No opening the DVD drive with this tool. No cuts, etc.
