I've flashed 360s before, but I haven't done one since the days when all you needed was a SATA cable and some software, haha. What's the best hardware out there now that'll let you flash any currently flashable drive? Is a CK3 with probe all I need, or should I be looking at something else? I don't want to spend too much on the equipment as I'll only be flashing my own drives, so it's not something I'll be doing all that often.

Thanks!

I would agree, Lizard has saved me many hours of headaches and frustration. And with the way things are going these days, even those who only flash their personal drives are going to be in for a ride.

Not necessarily. I personally still prefer my sewing needle, especially because it's almost free.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Love my Lizard. I even made mine setup for PMT so no grabbers needed. Thing is amazing.

Hey MK30 where was that thread showing how to convert to PMT? I HATE those grabbers! I make my wife hold them. :)

Pretty easy. You have to change the LED. If you contact ED at vgc, he will also do it for you for a few bucks.

Regardless, I would suggest the PMT. Grabbers suck which was a huge downfall for me in the beginning. Now I can do a drive faster then Jpizzle on a hot day..... seriously after you do it, you'll come here wanting to bend me over.

Cheers guys. My Lizard arrived this morning. I'm just updating it now!

EDIT - And I've flashed my fat 360 back to stock, updated the system software, and flashed it to the latest LT+. The Lizard is great! Dead easy to use. Thanks again.

I would kill the grabbers if I were you :) They are a pain

I didn't mind them. Both times I flashed, they were easy to attach and seemed like they were attached securely. I'm sure the PMT method is better, but the grabber method was no hassle for me, especially considering how often I'll be using the Lizard (i.e. only on my own console whenever new firmware comes out).

Plus since you have a dump, you'll never need to use them again :)
