Well, now that we're all banned, here are some of the benefits..
1 - we no longer have to worry about bad rips
2 - we can play all pre-release games
3 - we are saving money from paying for LIVE
4 - We dont have to use abgx360
5 - we can flash our firmware using any method or power source for the dvd drive.
6 - everyone we flashed a box for will now bring us another box to flash if they want LIVE!

Never proven to be something that gets you banned. Im guessing its one of many flags that M$ wont ban you for just the one

good post cubesteak! makes me feel a bit better cause really..i never used live all that much anyway =) of course im still gonna abgx everything i play for fix' sakes

Me too. After I got over the disappointment of being banned I really got to thinking about how much I used Live. I've only used it for Left 4 Dead. So basically I've paid $50 a year for the last 5 years for only 2 or 3 games. M$ just saved ME $50!

It looks like to me that if someone gets banned, they aren't going to waste another 360 and have it modded and tempt fate again. I haven't been banned, but that's my thought process.

Lol if I can play games on the banned xbox still I really dont care then because I really dont play online, I f i get a game that i want to play online ill just get another xbox for online play lol and buy the game if i know ill always play it.

That's the biggest downside when doing work for others. If their console red rings or gets banned all of the sudden it's your fault.

That's actually the point I'm at if I ever get banned. There's only a very select few games I play online. The $50 a years is no problem paying, it's just the principal. Both the Wii and PS3 offer free online gaming, MS can very well do the same. Especially with the money they're making with Netflix, in game ads, etc.

Everyone I've flashed for knew the ban risks going in, and know that I'm NOT replacing consoles, NOT "courtesy" flashing new consoles, etc.
I haven't received any phone calls about being banned (possibly because I only use 1.6 for other people)

Another to add to your list. You can get a Sam drive, spoof it with the old 5x Xtreme firmware, and play your Xbox games from dvd 5's.
