yo niggs an wiggs ive heard on a forum/irc that the almighty c4eva is not that keen on the upcoming x360 key (lol new user no links haha) C4eva has been right about alot of things but this x360 key thing seems to be incredibly legit and I dont know why he wouldnt be for it.

From what i understand, the x360 key works by being plugged into the xbox 360s dvd port (in place of the dvd drive) and emulates the drive. the key can then run the same ABGX patched games that you would burn to a dual layer dvd off a USB harddrive (you dont need to buy bloody expensive dvds). The days of flashing drives are over! this seems great this makes me wanna preorder one of these things

QUESTION:

If microsoft released a dash update in a month or two, apparently the x360key firmware can be updated if new disc challenges are made. C4eva makes FW patches right? Would C4evas LT2.0 or whatever the new firmware will be called be supported by this device? Or does the company that make the x360key design their own firmware?I would hope that it is possible to put LT2.0 (when it comes out) onto this x360key.

thoughts????

they have teamed up with maximus and are planning on using his methods to flash, this is a joke really since C4eva has to write all the firmwares, maximus is not capible, i feel that this device will be a novelty that will get a lot of people banned... then it will slowly die just like the wode for wii.

sorry I couldn't resist, the x360Key and the Xode both have potential and we will need to wait until we get our hands on them to see what they can really do. I cant wait to review both of these devices and I hope both teams send me a sample soon.

the x360key uses FGPA JTAG programming to update. Meaning it will be like wiikey where instead of inserting a disk you insert a usb and it will upgrade the x360key fw developed by their own team to the latest. LT+2.0 isnt used meaning that the firmware done by the x360key team might have flaws which microsoft can use to their advantage and ban consoles with it.

From my deductions even though it offers AP2.5 Emulation you probably will still have to use the 0800 2.0 fw to make a backup of games with the proper AP2.5 data and challenges extracted while also stealth patching the iso with abgx to ensure the safety on xbox live
