One can I back up and restore/hack stuff on my 360 HDD with a 360 Transfer Cable?
Also I am repairing a xbox box with a DVD drive that won't read.
All I have is another kind of Xbox 360 DVD drive.
Can I fix it with this?

Wouldnt do that, Hitachi's are known to be rubbish, you would prolly need to replace it again in a few months. Would recommend you buy a new BenQ and flash that with your original (or iExtreme) Firmware.
