Okay my oem headset broke yesterday, so now I'm looking in to buying a new headset. I've always wanted a turtle beach headset, and they've just realeased the X31. From what i've read they're pretty good, but I have a few concerns. The X31 wireless transmitter is powered via the xbox 360 usb port on "5VDC @ 50mA max" does anybody know if the power rating on the xbox 360 is the same worldwide? I'm in Australia and the x31 is designed for use in America, so I'm thinking the transmitter will be fried when I plug it in. Also, I'm connecting to live via the official wireless adapter, and I've heard that it can be interrupted by 2.4 Ghz devices... the X31s transmitter runs on "2.404-2.476GHz". Can confirm that there will be problems?

I'm hoping that somebody here owns a turtlebeach X31, but if anybody knows an answer to my question that would be great.

My friends got the non-wireless one and it is amazing. Just go with that. Wireless devices aren't as proficient as wired anyway.

I sit about 6 metres away from my xbox so a wired headset would be messy. According to the reviews the sound quality is just as good as a wired one, I'm going to buy it and see for myself.

I'm not sure if I can even justify spending over $50 on a headset. I don't mean to sound cheap, but are these things really that good?? I only ever play COD online, so do these give any sort of advantage. I've heard people saying that they can hear footsteps behing them with these, but i'm stil skeptical..

I have the X3, and they are fantastic. Good for late night gaming or when the kids are taking a nap. Sound is amazing, bass boost, ambiant sounds, etc. Good for watching tv or dvd's too. Got mine from Amazon for under 100 shipped.

Not a bad idea. I'm sure my roomates would appreciate it a little bit. Besides, they do look pretty sturdy and should last me a good while. I'll look into it.

If only I lived in America... the cheapest I can find that ships to Australia is $109 usd, that's about $126 aud + postage which is going to be atleast $25. I'm going to wait until I get the okay from turtlebeacg.com that it will work in Australia before I order one.

I didn't know you lived in Australia. That's like a whole other country or something, right.

My cousin has the X31, and it's really good. Gonna get one myself.

Australia is awesome as I hear. Good snowboarding, surfing, and those cool balls that roll down the dunes
